Fishing Adventures in Margaret River

Margaret River Beach FishingWhether fishing is your outdoor activity of choice, or you’re an occasional angler, or you want to give the sport a relaxing try while on holiday, Margaret River is ideal for family friendly fishing locations.

The region’s waterways are swimming in a variety of favourite species from Abalone to Tailor. A full list of marine life species inhabiting Western Australia waterways can be found at http://www.fish.wa.gov.au/Species/Pages/default.aspx.

You can even enjoy the sport by joining a deep sea charter tour, by dangling a line from a pier or jetty, or just wading into the surf along a quiet stretch of beach and casting out a line.

With so many interesting fishing spots in the Margaret River area it can be hard to decide on where to start looking for your perfect location. We have spoken with some of the local professional fishermen about their favourite family friendly locations within an hour’s drive from Forest Rise, and we offer their recommendations for your consideration.
