Twice every night Master Chef Miki and his culinary team skillfully prepare the restaurant’s specialise degustation dishes in a central cooking area to the delight and amazement of all the guests seated around the exposed kitchen. While the emphasis is on the Japanese inspired family style of dining, there are a few individual tables available, an ala carte menu, children’s meals, and a tempura bar. All of the ingredients used in the food preparation are sourced from the local area.
Let the restaurant know if you have any special dietary requirements when you make your reservation. The chefs will make every effort to meet your needs. You are greeted by enthusiastic and friendly staff personnel who not only will show you to your table or counter seat, but are eager to explain the different dishes and assist you with your ala carte selections. Where is it Located?
Miki’s Open Kitchen is located at 131 Bussell Highway / State Route 10 in the heart of the Margaret River central shopping district. It is Shop #2 in a row of other small stores and is situated directly behind the Noshery. There is ample parking space on the street and in the parking lot for those who drive to the restaurant.
Miki’s Open Kitchen is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday, including public holidays. The restaurant is closed on 23 and 24 December so that the chef can celebrate the holiday with his family. There are two seating times. The first seating is at 6 PM and the second seating is at 8 PM. Because of the limited dining space, strollers and prams need to be left outside of the restaurant.
Reservations are a must for this very popular restaurant. While there is an ala cart menu and a tempura bar, Miki’s specializes in 4 Degustation venues that feature a delectable variety of Japanese inspired dishes created using only fresh, local ingredients.
The degustation venue prices range from $60 to $85 per person. The menus highlight seafood and chicken. There are no beef dishes at the present time. Wine pairing is available at an additional price. The restaurant offers a selection of Sake, local wines, beers, ciders, and non-alcoholic beverages. There is a corkage fee for BYO (Bring Your Own) wine bottles.

Follow Yelverton Road to State Route 10 / Bussell Highway. Turn right onto State Route 10 / Bussell Highway and stay on this road for 25.6 km. Turn left onto Willmott Avenue and follow for 63 m. Turn right at the first cross street onto Ned Higgins Lane. Miki’s Open Kitchen will be on your right. The total distance is 28.7 km and the travel time is approximately 24 minutes.

Miki’s Open Kitchen is a short walk from the Margaret River Visitor Center. Head south on State Route 10 / Bussell Highway towards Fearn Avenue for 230 m. Turn left onto Willmott Avenue and follow for 63 m. Turn right onto Ned Higgins Lane. The restaurant will be on your right. The total distance is 400 m and it will take approximately 5 minutes to walk to Miki’s Open Kitchen.
